Unifrance: “Pour la France” rewarded at the 28th Rendez-Vous With French Cinema in New York

Pour la France by Rachid Hami won the 4th Rendez-Vous Audience Award, awarded by the public, on the occasion of the 28th Rendez-Vous With French Cinema in New York (March 2 to 12), Unifrance said Thursday, March 16. event organizer alongside the Film at Lincoln Center. The feature film succeeds En corps (2022), Petite Fille (2021) and Les Eblouis (2020). Presented for the second year, the Best Emerging Filmmaker Award, awarded by a jury of six New York students to reward emerging French cinema, went to the film Les Cinq Diables by Léa Mysius.

Note that this year, attendance jumped to "a level rarely reached" with 9,500 tickets sold, for a fill rate between 80 and 90%, welcomed Unifrance. Admissions are even up by almost 20% compared to 2019, before the crisis, when 8,000 spectators were welcomed.
