Universal Pictures: "Super Mario Bros. the movie", the distributor's biggest success in France

With 6.63 million admissions, the animated feature Super Mario Bros. the movie has become in nearly 6 weeks of exploitation the biggest success in France for its distributor, Universal Pictures, indicated the latter, Monday, May 15. The previous record for the major in France was held by another animated movie, Minions, which generated 6.62 million admissions in 2015.

Remember that the movie, from the famous Nintendo license, crossed the one billion dollars milestone in revenue in the world at the beginning of May. It currently accumulates $1.2 billion (€1.1 billion).
