Ushuaïa TV announced the release of the program Les Voyageurs solidaires, created, presented and produced by journalist-documentarist Stéphane Basset, through his company Vandelay Industries. Two first issues of 52' are announced for Wednesday, January 25 and February 1 on prime time, respectively with actor Bruno Solo on the Greek island Elafónisos and musician Flo Delavega in Ibiza, the group's channel TF1 said on Wednesday, January 4.

The program is centered around ecology and travel. In each episode, a personality supports an ecological association during a solidarity tourism mission. This type of tourism consists in favoring meetings with the locals; support the natural and cultural environment and participate ethically in local development. Accompanied and guided, camera in hand, by Stéphane Basset, each guest will become a solidarity traveler, by assisting the association in its local actions and by confiding in complete privacy on their life course, detailed the press release.
The two numbers will be accessible in replay for 60 days, specified Ushuaïa TV.

Sensitive to ecology, Stéphane Basset presented Les Reporterre on France 5 in 2008, a series of programs during which apprentice journalists traveled across Europe in search of ecological initiatives. In 2017, while living in Los Angeles, he made the documentary La Ruée vers l’eau to raise awareness of the water problem in California.
