
WoS Fabrique unveiled the winners of its 4th edition on Wednesday, January 25. This European support program for writing, producing and directing fiction dedicated to the representation of conflicts is supported by the War on Screen Festival, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary in the fall of 2023.
Nine projects took part in the writing residency, in two sessions. The director Manele Labidi (Un divan à Tunis) accompanied all the projects, collectively and individually, as a writing consultant. Five winners have been chosen by a jury of audiovisual professionals and will receive financial support (total support represents 72,000 euros).
They are Au petit matin by Aliona Zagurovska, produced by Anne-Laure Berteau (France - La Fémis), Silent War by Lilith Kugler, produced by Anna Maria Pürthner (Germany - Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf), Body by Milosz Sawicki, produced by Adrianna Redzia (Poland - Lodz Film School), The Idea of an Island by Carmen Pedrero, produced by Eva Bodas (Spain - ECAM) and Cigarettes and Chocolate by Valentin Fogoros, produced by Bogdan Botescu (Romania - UNATC).
