In the Best Original Screenplay category, Everything Everywhere All at Once, written by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, The Fabelmans, written by Steven Spielberg and Tony Kushner, The Menu, written by Seth Reiss and Will Tracy, Nope, written by Jordan Peele and finally Tár, written by Todd Field.
The Best Adapted Screenplay award went to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, written by Ryan Coogler and Joe Robert Cole, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, written by Rian Johnson, She Said, written by Rebecca Lenkiewicz, Top Gun: Maverick, written by Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer and Christopher McQuarrie, and Women Talking, written by Sarah Polley.
Among the documentaries selected were: 2nd Chance, written by Ramin Bahrani, Downfall: The Case Against Boeing, written by Mark Bailey and Keven McAlester, Last Flight Home, written by Ondi Timoner, Moonage Daydream, written by Brett Morgen, and ¡Viva Maestro!, written by Theodore Braun.
