Alice-Guy Prize: Alice Winocour laureate 2023 for “Paris ”

Alice Winocour won the Alice-Guy 2023 prize on Tuesday February 21 for her feature film Paris Memories with Virginie Efira, Benoît Magimel and Grégoire Colin. This prize rewards the best French or French-speaking feature film directed by a woman and released in theaters during the past year. Distributed by Pathé and released last September, it generated just over 530,000 admissions. Paris Memories is produced by Dharamsala (Isabelle Madelaine) with Darius Films. The director will receive her award at a ceremony to be held shortly.

The film was in the running against Angry Annie by Blandine Lenoir, The Five Devils by Léa Mysius, Other People's Children by Rebecca Zlotowski and Saint-Omer by Alice Diop. Last year, it was Audrey Diwan who was rewarded for Happening.
