Cédric Klapisch: the director will stage his first opera, "The Magic Flute" by Mozart

Filmmaker Cédric Klapisch will mount a new production of Mozart's The Magic Flute at the Champs-Elysées theater in November (from 14 to 24), his first foray into opera, the Parisian hall announced on Tuesday March 21. The director of The Spanish Apartment and En corps takes over Mozart's masterpiece, which is one of the most popular operas in the repertoire.

It should also be noted that the actress Julie Depardieu will sign a production of a new participative opera intended for young audiences, Une petite flûte, inspired by Mozart. She had co-signed a first opera production in 2008 with Les Contes d'Hoffmann by Offenbach.
