France tv distribution: sale of the "Vortex" series to Netflix; Worldwide release June 2

The Vortex miniseries (6 x 52') will be broadcast on Netflix in 190 countries from June 2, under an agreement between the American platform and France tv distribution (Satellifacts, September 15, 2021), announced the subsidiary of France Télévisions, Tuesday April 18, in a press release.
Produced by Quad drama (Iris Bucher, Roman Turlure) for France 2, Vortex explores the fantasy thriller register. Co-written by Camille Couasse and Sarah Farkas, based on a concept by author and screenwriter Franck Thilliez, and directed by Slimane-Baptiste Berhoun, Vortex takes place in 2025. Tomer Sisley plays Ludovic, a judicial police captain in Brest. Twenty-seven years ago, he lost the love of his life, Melanie, in what seemed at first sight to be a tragic and banal accident. While investigating a crime scene reconstructed in virtual reality, an unexpected time lapse will disrupt the course of his life: thanks to a system error, he can communicate with Mélanie, a few days before her death, in 1998...
The first two episodes of Vortex, broadcast on France 2 at the start of the year, were watched by 4.3 million viewers with an audience share of 21.3%. Scores that have enabled the channel to achieve its best score in this slot since the start of the season, it is underlined.
The series has accumulated 4.8 million views from the france.tv platform, the " 2nd best historical performance", noted Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez, director of antennas and programs at France Télévisions, during a press conference at the last Series Mania Forum (Satellifacts, March 23).
