SkyShowtime: the deployment in Europe of the platform completed on February 28 with Spain

The SkyShowtime streaming offer continues its deployment in Europe with its launch on Tuesday, February 14, in eight countries in Central and Eastern Europe, according to a press release. This is the biggest deployment of the platform since its launch (Satellifacts, September 6), which will be completed on February 28 with the arrival of SkyShowtime in Spain and Andorra.
Launched in 2022, after obtaining the necessary regulatory authorizations just a year ago, the platform supported by the American groups Comcast, parent company of Sky, and Paramount, owner of Showtime, will have been launched "in just 5 months."
Created specifically for Europe (excluding France), SkyShowtime has six regional offices. Its applications and content are intended to be available in 18 languages in its various markets.
SkyShowtime has also announced the upcoming arrival of two Spanish-language original series, Bosé and Los enviados. Additionally, several new and exclusive series will launch on the platform over the next few months, including Fatal Attraction and Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, as well as A Town Called Malice, Lioness, Rabbit Hole. For the record, SkyShowtime recently acquired the exclusive European rights to 21 European original programs from HBO Max (Satellifacts, January 10).
