The call for short film projects for the 6th Sofilm residency for genre cinema (science fiction, fantasy, horror, superheroes, polar and thriller) is open until April 10, the organizers announced on Monday March 13. The residencies, organized in partnership with the Grand Est Region, the CNC and Canal+, will take place at the Image Writing Residence Center in Saint-Quirin. The projects selected will benefit from the support of screenwriters. The authors will also be able to work on the visual and musical universe of their project, with storyboarders, VFX experts and composers. Projects will also benefit from support from Canal+'s short program team throughout the writing process.
The selected scenarios will be read in music and images during the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival next September. One of the projects will also receive a production aid from the Region endowed with 30,000 euros, given during the festival.
